I Need Employment

I would like someone or something to help me secure a job. If you are here, then I assume that you are in the market for some help also. It has been a very long time since I have been unemployed. As a matter of fact, I have been steadily employed for the last 22 years including jobs I had while in college. Consequently, when I suddenly found myself without a job, I was in unfamiliar territory.

As you might imagine, I was a bit out of practice as a job hunter. Besides that, the job search process has evolved with time. The last time I had to search for a job, the best options were the newspaper, word of mouth, or pounding the pavement. Now, obviously, the internet is by far the best place to not only help me find a job but to fill out most applications as well. There is no doubt that this makes the job search much easier and much faster; but, there are so many job websites in existence that it is easy to overlook many of the sites that may not be as prominent as others.

If you only stick to the most well-known sites, you can probably still do a decent job of submitting a lot of applications but that doesn’t mean that you have to limit yourself. Use every resource that you can find. It is also a good idea to look for other free tools related to job hunting such as resume writing, resume evaluation, and interview preparation tools. In fact, you will probably find links to these types of services on these free sites or they may be services offered by these sites already. However, don’t forget the word free. If you are unemployed and on a tight budget (or even if you have a job and short on funds for that matter), there are plenty of free services to use. Just look for them.

During my search for employment, I have come across many websites that I believe are worth registering on in order to help me find a job. Unfortunately, these sites are widely scattered and I came across most of them strictly by chance. I thought it would be a good idea to have them all in one place. With this in mind, I set up a blog that I think will be of assistance in this area. This blog contains a list of job search websites that I believe will be very useful to those seeking work.

Most of these are sites on which I have registered and they are all free. My plan is to keep finding and adding sites as time goes on. Eventually, there will be many quality sites from which to choose. I hope the information provided there will be of help to anyone else who may be utilizing the internet in order to look for a job. Feel free to post other sites that I may have missed and I will add them to the list. Certainly one of these sites will eventually help me get a job and I hope you find employment also.
