2. What is your goal? This is an important point because everything you do in the future to build your business should relate back to this goal.

I know in my case I wanted to quit my full-time job and be my own boss. Everything I did was geared towards replacing that income.

If your goal is to make $200 a month the type of Internet computer business you start will be different than if your goal is to make a six-figure income. You might want to take paid surveys to get started.

3. What is your commitment level? You are going to have to work as hard at building your own online business as you do at your full-time job if you want to make a lot of money.

If you want to supplement your income then a few hours a week will probably be enough. Plan on sacrificing something if you expect to succeed.

4. What is your budget? The Internet is competitive and when you begin promoting online you’ll need to spend some money if you want to get off to a fast start.

Pay per click advertising allows you to be on page one of a search engine very quickly. The ads you see across the top of the page and down the right-hand side are paid ads. If your budget allows you can be as close to the top you can afford.

If you are running on a small budget you will want to look at free advertising methods. These take a little longer to deliver results, but you can invest your time as opposed to your money. Effective ways to do this include article marketing, blogging, and discussion forum marketing.

5. Start with affiliate marketing. There are many ways to make money as an affiliate marketer and it’s an excellent Internet business model to make money online with.

These programs are free and you can make money by the click, by the lead, or by the sale. Join the affiliate programs at ClickBank, Amazon, Commission Junction and Google Adsense to get a wide range of things to promote.

It is crucial to take a broad approach when developing network/internet marketing skills. If you don’t, chances are you’re going to be one of the 95% percent of people that fail. Why? -because there are millions of people out there that know so much more than you, and because of that, they dominate the industry and you can’t compete with them. I call this the “Tupperware Efect”. This is where you are told to deceitfully lure friends and family over to a presentation (tupperware party), and pressure them into spending money until they get upset with you. This is the way that your up-line and the company make money, not you.

#2 -Your up-line already knows this and continues to teach this broken system that doesn’t work because you and your money are replaceable. All they have to do to fill another room full of dream chasing money seekers is to pump up “THE HYPE”. The hype can be more powerful than you think. When people are being enticed with dreams of riches, fast cars, exotic vacations, early retirement and more, they are extremely vulnerable to joining an organization that they otherwise would never have joined. Excitement is the key weapon of the hype pushers.

What happens is this, you will be asked to picture your life in the future with all the objects of your desires, and imagine the feeling of how happy you would be. This is where you get baited. They ask you if that feeling of happiness and wealth is something that is worth working for. The obvious answer is “YES”, then they ask you what’s stopping you? What else are you gonna do with yourself in order to achieve these goals? They know that you are fresh to the industry and haven’t had time to search for the best possible opportunity, therefore, exploiting your weaknesses catching you with you’re guard down.

So, don’t let this happen to you. Millions of other people have had this happen to them, so that you don’t have to. Learn from other people’s mistakes instead of your own. It’s not as expensive!
