What you do when you sponsor a new person in your business is one of the steps that dictate how well your business duplicates. What I am saying here is if you are trying to be the guru, like attraction marketing, bloging, article marketing, PPC marketing, video marketing, social media marketing and all of the other latest must do marketing strategies that you see all over the net. You are setting yourself up for failure unless all you are prospecting are other gurus.
What I mean here is most of the people you attract are not gurus. They are people looking for a better way to create a living. They are people like you and me. If start someone out trying to copy your guru like ways. Then they will see it as too hard and will not be successful. All of the advanced marketing strategies take time to learn and master. And let’s be honest here, these strategies take too much time for the average person to duplicate. Our industry is all about duplication. You must start your new business builders in a way that puts them in the best place for success.
You hear from all of the gurus out there that old school marketing is dead. Are you kidding me? How can that be true when almost 90% of all network marketing is done offline? How can you say it is dead? It still works. This is the best way for someone to get started. Show them how to use your team to help market to their warm market as you are giving them the training of the gurus (which is the best way to create leads) Starting them out with the easiest way to get started is best. Teach them to go after their warm market but show them how to do that.
Let’s break it down a little so I can show you what I mean.
If you want an organization to be able to duplicate and build 50 levels deep, then you have to have the same duplication from start to finish. You must have a system that everyone in your team uses. It must start out with the easiest way to sponsor so they have success as fast as possible. Then as they are starting to build there business you can start to share new ways to create traffic and new leads with all of the online attraction marketing strategies and offline marketing methods. If you start with the guru methods you will most certainly fail and fail as a leader.
If you show your front line this simple system of starting, then teach them to do the same with their front line. The duplication is easy. It duplicates from front line to the 50th line. Everyone has the same information from day one and it is not lost as your team builds. If you try the more advanced marketing strategies at the beginning your duplication will fail because no one can learn this in a day and can not teach this to their front line. If you did that you would never get more than 20 people in your down line. Your duplication will stop normally at your front line. Because you’re new enrollees can not teach their new enrollees how to be a guru and it falls on you. If you try to be all to your team you will not be able to sponsor anymore. What dose that mean? You will not be able to replace the ones in your team that fail and be assured that they well. You will be rebuilding your team every month or two.
The way you build a large organization is to keep it simple have a good system in place that everyone can use in your organization. This creates duplication by the thousands. Start them the right way and share with them over time the more advanced ways to market and build their business.
Here are the basics of building a Network Marketing business
First: talk to someone and share your opportunity
Second: get them to a presentation (third party like your leaders presentation)
Third: if necessary use third party follow up with a live presentation or a three way call with someone other than you.
Fourth: walk them through the sign-up process
Fifth: Teach them the four steps above.
Once they have sponsored their first or second enrollee then you can start them on the next phase which will be some of the guru marketing strategies that everyone one is talking about. At this point you must be careful not to overwhelm them with too much information. Give them the different strategies and make sure that they pick just one to start with. They must master that one strategy before trying a new one. Too much of a good thing can be devastating to an organization.
If you teach them the easiest way to sponsor then you can be assured that when they bring in a new person that they will be getting the same training from the start.
