MLM or Network Marketing can be an extremely lucrative business. However, if generating leads for your MLM business is a struggle, it can be a frustrating experience.
How do we solve this problem?
Should You Buy MLM Leads?
Definitely not!
The reality is that the vast majority of purchased MLM leads aren’t really serious about starting their own network marketing business. They are mostly tire kickers and you will end up spending a lot of wasted time and energy with no real results in the end. Buying MLM leads will not get you the results you want or deserve.
What Can You Do Instead?
Two things.
First. Learn attraction marketing.
Second. Learn who your target market is.
The fundamentals of attraction marketing are that you provide leadership and value to your target market. This way, they will seek you out, rather than you chasing after them.
Cold calling and chasing down leads is an extremely frustrating and inefficient way to run a home business. The key with attraction marketing is that you become a leader, brand yourself as that leader and then provide value and leadership to your prospects.
That’s the crash course.
But I highly recommend that you become a student of attraction marketing if you are not already, because it will change your entire business. It will make your business a lot more enjoyable and a lot less frustrating.
Next we need to talk about who your target market is. Your target market is made up of two different types of people. They don’t include the guy you met at the coffee shop or your family and friends.
Now, I’m not saying that absolutely no one in your circle of friends or your family is going to be interested in your business. I’m just saying you are not going to be building a very successful business if you only sponsor your Aunt Edna.
You have to think bigger. Much bigger.
Rather than wasting time and money on buying MLM leads, try generating your own by really focusing on your two target markets, which are:
1. Current network marketers. This can be a tricky one to wrap your head around at first. I had a tough time with it in the beginning, but once you really grasp the significance, it changes everything.
They don’t need to be sold. They don’t need to be convinced. They already get it. Keep in mind that you are marketing yourself to other network marketers by being a leader and providing them value. You are not marketing your business upfront.
2. The second group is people who are actively looking for what you have to offer. More than likely, your friends and family aren’t all looking for a business opportunity. This is why you shouldn’t be marketing to them, but instead marketing to those people who are. It’s important to market to people who are already looking for what you have to offer, otherwise your marketing efforts will fall on deaf ears (and irritate the people you’re trying to sell to).
This is something that will require some research and work on your part to be effective, but if you are willing to become a student of attraction marketing and put the time in, you will definitely see the benefits in your business.
Here’s the bottom line. There are probably tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people online every day looking for what you have to offer. Once you understand how to market to the right people, you will be able to generate endless leads for your MLM business.
So, in the end, my advice is don’t buy MLM leads unless you want to waste your time, energy and money. When all is said and done, all you will have to show for buying MLM leads is hundreds of wasted phone calls!
