Rewrite PLR Articles And Ebooks: Who Should Do It?

Private Label Rights (PLR) articles and ebooks are great tools for making an internet company truly successful; or, if already lucrative, even more so. By using texts that are already written, one might speed up the process of distributing those texts in a variety of places: as online ebooks, articles, or even as printed books.

The trouble is, however, that using PLR content is not as easy or quick as many are trying to make it sound. For instance, those who sell PLR content, and those who do business in the PLR world, many times wish to point out that the process of using PLR content is an unproblematic road to success. But that may not necessarily be the case.

The Problem

The problem is this: in order to make the most of it, one has to in fact edit the Private Label Rights content to a considerable extent, not just a little. This is to ensure that the search engines are going to index the content favourably, as well as to make sure that the readers are not faced with e-books and articles that they have already read elsewhere.

So the challenge is to learn the art of rewriting PLR e-books and PLR articles so that the content ends up being substantially unique. One may rearrange paragraphs or even erase whole paragraphs. Or one might want to expand paragraphs or add new points, arguments, reasons, or data. Or one might make a decision to insert pictures, illustrations, photographs, or videos. Or just about anything to make the article or ebook look and feel special.

But Who Has Time to Do It?

But perhaps are you now asking yourself: “How in the whole world should I practically have time to do that? After all, I picked up the Private Label Rights products originally to keep away from having to do a lot of labor. So why am I now looking at the very same labor that I tried to avoid?”

It is correct, of course, that the type of work involved in rewriting a PLR article or e-book may be alike. However, the actual quantity of work is not very similar. Rewriting and rearranging a PLR e-book or PLR article, even with a rather extensive rewrite, is a lot less time-consuming and painful than writing the whole thing from the ground up.

In addition, you might not have to do all that editing yourself either. You could use the help of other parties to complete the rewriting process.

Here are some interesting possibilities in order for you to get the rewriting of your PLR e-book or PLR article done: (1) Use software; (2) Hire a ghostwriter; (3) Invite a guest blogger; (4) Do the writing yourself.

1. Make use of Software

There are software packages on the market which might be programmed to change (“spin”) PLR e-books and articles to construct new articles and ebooks. But it is advisable to be very watchful. Some software packages could modify the “taste” of the ebook or article, or use poorly selected synonyms for expressions that either could change your material into nonsense or at least make it sound strange in some sense.

It is thus almost at all times required to look over the newly generated content by hand after it has been processed by the software application. It is quite likely that you might have to do another round of editing after the material has been “spinned”.

2. Appoint a Freelancer

Using an expert freelancer to provide wholly innovative content to your website could be almost impossible for a new site owner, as truly novel content may be quite costly.

However, since you already have bought the Private Label Rights content, the goal is not to create original material from the ground up, but just to do some editing using different words and phrases, and maybe also extending some of the conclusions in various places.

It could be a sound idea to collect a dozen or two Private Label Rights articles at a time (or a whole Private Label Rights ebook), and then ask the ghostwriter for a “package price” for the whole set. That way you may be able to get a better quote per page than if you just submitted one or two individual articles.

3. Contact a Guest Blogger

Perhaps you would like to invite a guest blogger to write on your blog? You might tell him or her that you have private label rights material that she or he might utilize. In that manner you could generate fresh material for your blog without you being forced to do any modifying yourself.

The problem may be, of course, that he or she may expect to get paid, or to be able to include some links to their own sites and blogs, or ask for some other favour. You will have to see what the deal is, and then decide whether or not you think the particular arrangement is profitable enough.

4. Rewrite It All On Your Own

If you are truly into writing and editing (or at least are willing to do it even though you don’t enjoy it), you may want to consider doing all (or at least some of) the rewriting yourself. In any event, to edit a good-quality Private Label Rights article or ebook is significantly less problematic than writing everything from the ground up.

The benefit of doing the job yourself is that you have absolute control over the final result, both stylistically speaking as well as in regards to all of the individual points, conclusions, and data presented there. Hopefully you also have much knowledge of whatever subject matter it is that your articles and e-books are covering, and therefore you will probably be able to edit the PLR texts faster than a writer who doesn’t have your particular background and experience.

Final Thoughts

PLR articles and e-books are great resources. However, they have to be substantially rewritten to be fruitfully used in your internet business.

The good thing about all of this is that you don’t necessarily need to do all of the rewriting and rearranging yourself (but the end result may be superior if you do). Alternative ways to produce a rewriting of the Private Label Rights content would be to use some “spin” software product, to use freelance ghost writers, or to invite a guest blog writer.

So go ahead and fill up your website or blog with great, uniquely rewritten and sensitively repurposed PLR content. Your audience will be grateful for it!
