Jan Akkerman and The Rosenberg Trio (audio only)

This tune was taken from Jan Akkerman's website back in July 2006. It was the background music for his site at that time. I thought Jan sounded amazing, but I was especially blown away by his band. A short time later I discovered that his 'band' was actually The Rosenberg trio.........and I had no idea who they were. A quick search on the internet cleared that up, and I've been a gypsy jazz fan ever since. Stochelo really kicks butt on this tune, and it's great to hear the trio rip it up in a 'non-gypsy' tune.Jan takes the first solo.Stochelo's solo begins at approx. 1:47.At approx. 2:35 they begin trading solos back & forth.I especially love Stochelo's stuff beginning from approx. the 3:50 mark...right when Jan suddenly drops it down a notch.He's just tearing it up.Great stuff indeed!And Jan plays a few bars of 'The Flintstones' right near the 4:20 mark.
