I am also a huge Jessica fan and I think part of the reason she sounds bad in this performance is because she is emotional and fighting back tears. I am disappointed that she is sticking with country I think she should go back to pop.

i agree with you 100% this song is actually so beautiful, and on her cd she isnt singing that annoying way. but whenever she performs she feels like shes gotta add extra twang or something. she needs to stop and look back at these performances they are a mess. i know she has talent i just dont know what shes thinking.

as a HUGE jessica simpson fan since before i wanna love you forever came out till now..i cringed the whole time listening to this. jessica IS FAKING her accent when she TALKS and sings. i have every jessica dvd seen every interview and yes she does have a country accent but NOT that extreme the performance was horrible i just dont understand why her dad or someone close to her wont tell her to stop singing like that its embarrassing to me as a fan and to her as an artist. she sounds ridiculous

jessica is so amazing and i just love her and her new album is awesome i been a jessica fan for so long and i'm still a big fan of her today

I know. I think her voice changed and she really can't sing the notes she could before. So she's trying to sound "sexy" and it's not really working for her. =[

i dont know how someone can go from being so GREAT to so BAD. i mean i'm a fan and i hope she get's over this whiny, breathy, baby-cry sounding stage, but it's just really awful. she needs a vocal coach or something. she CAN sing. but she just doesn't do it properly anymore. it just sounds so bad and strained. if you don't believe me look up one of her early 2000's performances like "i wanna love you forever" or something. they're really good. but the CD/Radio version of this song is quite good.
