Shanghai Internet Speeds Soar With New 3.5G Network

China Mobile subsidiary Shanghai Mobile's testing of its new TD-HSDPA network in 2,000 Shanghai locations revealed Internet speeds approaching 1.5 Mbps. Shanghai Mobile subscribers can install a TD-HSDPA network card in their laptops to reach Internet speeds of 1 Mbps. Shanghai Mobile recorded average network speeds of 816.8 Kbps near the city's Olympic venues.
